NIFTEM TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION AND BUSINESS INCUBATION FOUNDATION [NTIBIF] offers opportunities to the aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, Startups in Food-Agri sector to develop their product and scale up their business.

NTIBIF as an incubator offers Food-Agri based Startups unparalleled access to our wide network of industry experts including NIFTEM Faculty, State-of-the-art research resources and office infrastructure, mentorship and focussed industrial training by dedicated professionals, and access to funding organizations such as Angel Investors, Venture Capitalists and Government Grants. Through its affiliation with the NIFTEM and MOFPI, NTIBIF partners Startups with technical/research teams on creating a successful path to the market.

Our Objective is to foster a convergent innovation ecosystem that supports Food-Agri based Startups to succeed while benefitting the different stakeholders including consumers, farmers, industry experts and investors.

Program

N-SIP is a uniquely designed program for Food-Agri Startups, with state-of-the-art facilities to help transform your business ideas into successful entrepreneurial opportunities.

Seed Grant & Investor Connect

Eligible Startups may get seed funding & offered opportunity for investor connect support. It will provide boost to meet preliminary expenses & a much-needed support for the Startup owner.

2 Weeks Workshop

An intensive 2-weeks workshop will be held to ensure right product market fit, a strong team, business connects and the right foundation for a sustainable business.

Focussed Mentorship

Mentor ship support will be provided for every Startup. The mentors will comprise of dedicated experts and research professionals.

High Tech Lab & Research Support

Access to NIFTEM’s World Class Research Labs will be provided to Startups that Qualify for Phase 2.

Direct Market Connections

Market linkages through Internal and external initiatives will be provided. Startups will also have showcase opportunities across partner events & activities.

Office Infrastructure Support

The selected Startups will be given office infrastructure support in NIFTEM Campus for entire duration of the programme.

Program Structure

NIFTEM Startup Incubation Programme (N-SIP) offers a great opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to transform their unique ideas into successful business ventures. The program aims to provide world class Business Incubation and Accelerator facilities to host and nurture the Startups while facilitating commercialization of Food-Agri & allied sector technologies developed by various research institutes. It will comprise of 2 phases:

Phase – I: Residency Workshop

A two-week intensive workshop will be conducted where the selected Startups will gain insights on the fundamental aspects critical for product development and business. It would include on campus mentoring by industry experts, classroom sessions by technical & business experts, product designing workshops, market connect or networking, and Valuation & Fund Raising. The progress will be monitored by an expert committee to shortlist Startups for phase-II.

Phase – II: Incubation & Funding Support

It is an extremely focused ‘high-growth’ phase where the selected Startups may get seed grand support, with access to high-tech research labs, dedicated industry mentors, scientists and professionals. The Startups will also be connected to a deep network of investors including angel investors and venture capitalists.
